I've been using AI all along, but after going through the adjustment period with AI and the mistakes submitted at work, I no longer have the illusion that "With AI in hand, I own the world."
Moments
Everyday thoughts, discoveries, and passing notes, kept in their unpolished flow.
I wanted to create a WeChat mini-program (under a corporate entity). After going through steps like Alibaba Cloud enterprise email, domain binding, mini-program registration, and payment verification, I'm already exhausted.
The entire process and experience really discourages beginners.
Rails's "convention over configuration" makes AI Agents development more efficient.
DHH really has a great sense of internet culture!
After climbing Changbai Mountain over the weekend, my calves feel sore when walking. Today is Thursday, my left calf is still a little sore, but my right leg has fully recovered.
I asked GPT, and for this level of exercise, if you don't usually hike often, the recovery time is roughly:
Day 3: Still noticeably sore (very common)
Days 4-5: Soreness significantly reduced
Days 5-7: Basically recovered
If you rarely do activities like going up and down stairs or hiking, the recovery process may take a bit longer.
It suddenly occurred to me that if I do some good code design and organizational architecture, I can let AI summarize it to help me output.
Let AI do the tedious and boring parts, so the resistance to output knowledge on my own becomes very small.
This is also a kind of distillation, isn't it?
“It feels great to manually participate in coding, to not let AI write code for me.”
I just tried the new global Cursor rules. Thinking about functionality myself, focusing on code organization and quality, the feeling of full engagement is back.
In order to be able to participate in the process of code organization and writing, I added a few global rules to cursor:
1. Help me set up the global cursor rules, add one: just provide the plan, steps, or implementation code for each step, do not write the code for me.
2. Do not include Co-authored-by in commit messages.
3. Another rule: write commit msg for changes, do not commit. i will commit manually.
